Description:
Norfolk Botanical Garden represents an oasis of over 20 theme gardens encompassing 155 beautiful acres. Bordered on three sides by the picturesque beauty of Lake Whitehurst, Norfolk Botanical Garden offers tours by foot, tram and boat. The Garden brilliantly features some of the largest collections of azaleas, camellias, roses and rhododendrons on the East Coast.
Amenities:
Baker Hall Visitor Center, Garden Gift Shop, Terrace Cafe, Rose Garden Hall, multiple meeting rooms, picnic shelter and picnic area, handicapped accessible buildings, walking paths, restrooms and trams, water fountains and soda machines.
Group Policies:
You can make a reservation by phone, fax or email. Minimum group size is 12 people. Motor coach escorts and drivers are complimentary. No deposit is required. Payment is due in full upon arrival. Cash, check and credit card payments are accepted. Your guests will receive interpretive maps at Baker Hall Visitor Center. Private tram and boat tours must be reserved 3 weeks in advance.
Rates:
A group rate of $6 per person applies for admission. Call for boat tour rates.
Hours of Operation:
The Garden is open 365 days a year from 9 am - 5 pm!
We recommend that visitors have the opportunity to spend at least 1 1/2 hours at the Garden.
Directions:
6700 Azalea Garden Road: follow I - 64, Exit 279. Adjacent to Norfolk International Airport. Take a left on to Azalea Garden Road. The garden entrance is on the right. Your driver will receive instructions at the tollbooth. Parking for motor coaches is adjacent to Baker Hall Visitor Center. There is no additional fee for buses or parking.
