20,000 vehicles - over 100,000 people! Norfolk 's holiday event! Norfolk Botanical Garden established Garden of Lights in 1993 to extend enjoyment of the Garden well into the winter season. The Garden displays more than a half million lights of all colors and sizes to illuminate the Garden and create Winter Wonderland. Kicking off on Thanksgiving through New Year's Eve, animated displays transform the Garden into a winter wonderland. This multi-evening event features nightly entertainment, Yule Tide tram rides, and 2 miles of fun for the whole family! Garden of Lights enjoys consistent media coverage throughout the event. Garden of Lights schedule makes it an ideal vehicle for sponsors to create an impact on the Garden's broad visitor base through ownership of individual event components. Grapevine Third Monday in April - Annually Attendance : 500 Audience : well-educated business leaders, international dignitaries, and affluent, urban professionals Influential people from Hampton Roads' professional community participate in this spirited evening of extensive spreads from local restaurants, a selection of wines and mingling.
