In tribute to the forebearers of modern gardening, one of NBG's main pathways leads visitors through the Border Garden.
Color and symmetry are the main elements in traditional English gardens, and this garden will not disappoint those
looking for such traditional floral displays. Blooms and foliage of various hues bring dynamic color to this area of NBG.
Tulips, daffodils, pansies and azaleas brighten the pathway in spring, and summer color is provided by hibiscus 'Diane',
impatiens, petunias and gomphrena.
NOTE: Part of this garden is closed to the public during the nesting season for the American Bald Eagle (Dec. 15 - early July).
