Norfolk, VA – Norfolk Botanical Garden's newest art exhibit is designed to bring down the stress level -- and uplift the spirit.  A Collection of Calming Photographs: Landscapes, Florals and Wildlife is now on display in Baker Hall Visitor Center.  This is Linda House's first exhibit in her second career.  The Virginia Beach woman recently retired from banking, and after years of being consumed by work and stress, she sought solace in travel and in the Garden.  House, who is a Garden member, says retirement was traumatic and spending countless hours snapping pictures here made her feel re-connected to all of nature – but more importantly – to herself.  House feels this collection has helped her rediscover her path, gain confidence, and find deeper joy and happiness.  "It's a miracle to me… one of the big miracles in my life," she says.  What started as an exercise to help calm her own spirit has bloomed into a delightful way to positively impact other people through her works.

A Collection of Calming Photographs: Landscapes, Florals and Wildlife will be on display in Baker Hall through September 28th, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily.
