Coastal Plain Native Plant Conference

 

September 16-17, 2005

Norfolk Botanical Garden

 

            Norfolk Botanical Garden, the South Hampton Roads Chapter of the Virginia Native Plant Society and Old Dominion University are partnering to present a two day conference on native plants of the Atlantic coastal plain. 

    • Discover native plants in their natural settings.
    • Explore ways to design with natives.
    • Hear about preserving natural areas and their inhabitants.
    • Learn how to use native plants in a cultivated landscape.

 

Who should attend?

            Both professionals and laypersons who want to gain valuable knowledge about native plants of the coastal plain should attend this conference. Conservation professionals/advocates, professional landscape architects and designers, commercial nursery operators, landscape management professionals, native plant society members, Master Gardeners and home owners interested in enhancing their landscapes with natives.
