For years, World of Wonders – A Children's Adventure Garden has been growing – and in just a few weeks, we'll be ready to show you the world!
At 60 degrees south latitude, you can sail all the way around the world. But there’s no need to travel - we've gathered sights, sounds, and smells from across the globe – and brought them home to Hampton Roads.
World of Wonders – A Children's Adventure Garden, Virginia's most exciting interactive and innovative attraction is about to open. This unbeatable, unbelievable outdoor classroom is the largest children's garden on the East Coast – and is unlike anything you've ever experienced. Officially, World of Wonders is for children 4 to 14, and we’re focusing on families and field trips. Unofficially, WOW will be a wonderful walk on the wild side, for the kid in all of us.
Run through the Ecuadorian Rainforest, touch totem poles from the Russian Peninsula, or wear masks and beat drums from the African Grasslands. Splash through the earth's oceans, hear stories and sing songs, or wind your way through Whichway Woods. Surrounded with a rainbow of bright colors, the Children’s Garden has swings, an enormous sundial, and a sea eagle’s nest so big you can sit inside. You’ll find oceans of water to splash and slosh through, a colossal calendar and all kinds of creeping critters. While you’re traveling the world in just 3 acres, you can also dig into the Dirt Factory, trace the trails of the great explorers, and wind your way through the twists and turns of the Inchworm Tunnel. But that’s only the beginning of the tons of fun you’ll find!
